To Be like HIM

Romans teaches us to be transformed by renewing our mind.  Defined it means A thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance. Our form or appearance is to be Christ like or become like the one who came to change us. Transformation into the image of Christ is the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Desiring to be like HIM should be the cry of our hearts. Many spend hours, weeks, months and even years to get our bodies to look a certain way or to educate our minds to be smarter. Although both of these do have their benefits, to be a true reflection of the Son of God on earth today is what we should most desire. I am so grateful in the process of this transformation, that my Father is faithful, even when I am not. His promise to us is, That he which has begun a good work in us, will complete it !!!

    Hi again to Ya’all in Christ;
    I was thinking again…. And that gets troublesome. But here goes…:
    About Moses and The Cleft of The ROCK;
    1. Moses goes up the Mt. and comes down with two tables of stone – hewn from The Rock, and on it, are the Tables of The Law. Written with the Finger of God.
    2. Moses smote The Rock and out came water. That was ok.
    3. Moses has to get another set of Tables – like The First because he broke the First when the children broke the First Commandments.
    4. Moses was told to speak to The Rock. Num 20– But he smote IT the second time and so he fell short in the wilderness of sin…. Just before his death, he looks longingly over The Promised Land from The Mt.

    So it seems we too fall short, or do the same old thing when we should have listened– or talked it over with The LORD….

    5. Yet we see Moses and Elijah on The Mt. of Transfiguration with JESUS revealed as The CHRIST in HIS glory. There between the two fallen heroes is JESUS– High and Lifted Up.
    They are finally in The Promised Land !!!

    So we think again about The Cleft of The ROCK, and it is JESUS CHRIST – THE ROCK that followed them.

    HE is left alone finally… Lifted Up. And if I be lifted up, all men shall follow ME….

    In the midst of our failures, HE is full of Grace and Truth – The LAMB of GOD, Who takes away the sin of The World.

    How can I measure up ??? By taking hold of HIM – His feet, His garments, His hands, His side, HIS FACE in all HIS Glory speaks — Follow ME….

    Love Ya’all – In Christ Jesus;
    David and Laura.

    Hi to all there;
    THis week we are celebrating The Passover and Unleavened Bread as directed in Exodus and In 1 Corinthians….

    In reading your comment on Romans 12, and it’s instruction to have our Minds renewed and transformed, we also cry to our Father through Christ Jesus that HIS Spirit conforms us into HIS Image.
    For though we are created in HIS likeness we are being MADE into HIS image – just as HE foretold in Genesis 1….
    In the Passover, we see ourselves like The Disciples — bickering within our own minds – about who shall become the greatest. Until we find that Jesus willingly lays aside HIS garments of Righteousness, and takes the towel of a servant and washes our feet….
    We feel The Spirit move within our emotions with God’s sweet fruit, and HIS giftings speak to our minds in Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Discernment, etc…. Until we begin to have HIS Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy…. This in the unleavened bread HE has provided from Heaven.
    We are feasting on the manna, underneath the cloudless sky…. as the old song states…. Yes, we are being transformed into HIS image…. Though it means we too must take up the towel from time to time.

    We love you all there;
    In Jesus’ Love – David and Laura….
